Experiments with Haikus is a text score for open instrumentation by
Cassandra Venaglia
from “House of Glass” concert organized by Emily Thorner and Lucy Yao, which aims to give voice to women and non-binary composers. The piece draws on single concepts like “Dissonance”, “Chord”, “Chaos”, that are written on flashcards. The performers then choose, at random, different concepts that guide them in improvisation, which allows a new interpretation of the piece each time.
